moving blog posts again

Posted on 3:24 PM by Unknown
I should be getting good at it by now.  I think this will be the 4th or 5th time I package up all my blog posts since I started playing around with it back in 2004.  I've grown sick of Wordpress software and the frequent need to update.  Plus Google is getting to the point where it has just about everything a typical user needs under one roof, for free, no need to update, access from any computer anywhere, all you need is a browser... so I'm planning to convert johnlittle.com to the Google Sites platform and converting most of the old Wordpress posts to a Blogger platform with an address of blog.johnlittle.com.  It'll take me a little while. I did an archive at banjolawyer.wordpress.com (deleting posts there as I add them here, working from oldest to most recent).  I know I have a HUGE following, and everyone will want to what's happening, so there you have it. :-)

in fairness to Cam

Posted on 8:08 PM by Unknown
My friend Rich Edmundson from Huntsville wrote this on the Rocket City Brewers message board today, and I thought it was excellent:

In fairness to Cam,

1. He bought a stolen laptop. May have known it was stolen or may not have, but he didn't steal it.

2. FERPA says that any academic records are privileged, and UF apparently provided a clean transcript when Cam chose to transfer.

3. Cam was recruited by Oklahoma, Tennessee, MSU, and Auburn. 3 of the 4 say there was no pay for play request. The one who says there was has a former player who's a noted liar who arranged the whole deal with Mr. Newton. Seems odd that he'd only leave any evidence of pay for play at 1 school if he was asking for it at 4.

I admit it's odd, but Cam's not driving an Escalade with 24" spinners or a new Dodge Charger with tinted windows (he does have a tricked out scooter though), and the NCAA didn't find any evidence of payments to Cam, his dad, or his dad's church despite their own investigators and half the sports journalists in the country's best effort.

I won't say he didn't get anything, but given the witch hunt that went on for the last month if he did get something significant surely someone would have found it.

Anyway, who cares. SCOREBOARD BITCHES!!!

Any of you have a recipe for Cammy Cam Juice?

Baldwin: The Ku Klux Klan in Randolph County

Wow. When reading this, I immediately thought of the Alabama Citizens Action Patrol.. I don't think they beat people though.. They just hire lobbyists to work the halls of the Alabama legislature.

All the snow in Auburn has melted. The Auburn Fire Department guys built a small igloo. Next time, maybe we'll try to make one in the front yard.

Story

Comments

BBB Rating

Tom Hargrave's continuing fraud is a real shame to the Alabama homebrewing community. And all this news comes at a time when honest Alabama homebrewers are struggling to gain legal status for their hobby. Hopefully, all of the exposure will serve to hasten the demise of this business. It's hard enough already to have to overcome the stereotypes and misconceptions that we have to deal with in the Alabama legislature. We sure don't need this.

No self respecting local homebrewer supports this business, and that has been the case for many years. Tom hargrave attempted to affiliate with a reputable local homebrew club four years ago, but it was clear that he only wanted to peddle his wares. He was quickly run off.

The fact that the business continues to exist is an embarrassment to us. We want no association with it. If any of you know local homebrewers who are unaware of Tom's business practices and who make purchases there, please urge them to stop. This is a business that should cease to exist.

It really is sickening to see Tom gloat in his increased search engine rankings as a result of this story. I urge WHNT to replace the link on its story to the BBB page on this business.

Couple Arrested for Tattooing Children | FOX 5 Atlanta | myfoxatlanta.com

Another good one from my buddy Bob. He's always on the lookout for any news about Alabama fans. :-)

The tattoo pen turned up on full speed is pretty funny. I think some of Johnny Knoxville's tatoos were made with something like that. Then crash back to an unfunny drama reading the jgrammes comment.
